Dear TriMas Employee:

As I communicated when we released our Code of Ethics and Business Conduct, discussions of integrity have become increasingly important in today's business environment. These discussions are not new at TriMas, ethics and integrity has always been a significant part of both our culture and the way we conduct business. Operating with a strong sense of integrity is critical to maintaining trust and credibility with our customers, suppliers, partners, employees and shareholders.

To this end, the TriMas Corporation Ethics Office has been created. Mr. Joshua Sherbin, our General Counsel, will serve as our Ethics Officer and head up this office. While ethical behavior and integrity is the responsibility of each and every one of us, the Ethics Office has been created to better focus TriMas' ethics program and activities across our business units. It also demonstrates the critical role ethics and integrity plays in the daily lives of all our employees.

TriMas' Ethics Office is available to all employees, customers, suppliers, partners and shareholders who wish to bring to TriMas' attention any issue of ethics or integrity, including any potential violation of our TriMas' Code of Ethics and Business Conduct. Additionally, if you believe there has been a breach of TriMas' accounting or auditing practices please contact the Ethics Office.

While TriMas has many avenues to communicate concerns, I encourage employees and management, whenever possible, to work together to resolve issues or concerns. Ideally, issues should be resolved between the employee and his or her manager and employment related issues should be addressed with the appropriate Human Resource representative for the business. However, if for any reason you are not comfortable communicating compliance or ethics issues at the local level please do not hesitate to contact the Ethics Office, the Legal Department or the Employee Hotline. You can raise your concerns verbally or in writing. If you prefer, the Employee Hotline, which is administered by an independent third party service company, is a resource that you can contact anonymously. These resources can be reached as follows:

I am proud of the commitment to excellence and integrity of TriMas and its employees. Our Ethics Office will help us continue to maintain this excellence. Please take advantage of this resource and the other resources made available to you.

Sincerely,

Grant H. Beard
President and Chief Executive Officer
