After School Learning Center
The After School Learning Center is a program that provides
academic tutoring, educational enrichment and recreational
programs for children of economically challenged or distressed
families that are in the care of the Pontiac Lighthouse
and for underserved children in the Pontiac Public School
System. Classes are held at the Academy of the Sacred
Heart in Bloomfield Hills. This reciprocal collaboration
is aimed at erasing boundaries of difference and is staffed
totally by volunteers. |

Think Detroit PAL is a private non-profit with a unique
partnership with police officers that relies on contributions
from individual donors, foundations, and corporations.
Think Detroit PAL runs leadership camps, community centers,
and tutorials plus a variety of seasonal programs in 11
different sports. Currently they serve nearly 13,000 kids
with the help of 1,500 volunteers. |

a comprehensive program of care to patients and families
facing a life threatening illness as well as education
and community awareness. |
