Thomas Amato became the president and chief executive officer of TriMas Corporation in July 2016. He has more than 25 years of broad industrial experience, having served in several leadership positions at global, multi-billion dollar businesses. Most recently, he served as chief executive officer and president of Metaldyne, LLC, a $1.1 billion engineered products manufacturing company with 25 facilities in 13 countries, and co-president and chief integration officer of Metaldyne Performance Group, a $3 billion global manufacturing company. He has worked as a chief executive officer for companies owned by notable private equity firms, including The Carlyle Group and American Securities. After earning his MBA, Tom joined MascoTech and its TriMas subsidiary, where he worked in a number of leadership roles, one of which was serving as the TriMas head of business development.
In addition to his role as chief executive officer at Metaldyne, LLC and co-president of Metaldyne Performance Group, Tom served in various other roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to Metaldyne, he worked at AsahiTec, a publicly traded Japan-based company, as co- chief executive officer, and Metaldyne Corporation as its chief executive officer, and several other executive leadership roles. Prior to this, he worked at MascoTech in positions of increasing responsibility, and successfully completed several acquisitions and divestitures. During this time, one of his roles was head of business development for TriMas. He began his career in 1987 at Imperial Chemical Industries, a large multinational company, as an applications development engineer and, eventually, a group leader.
Tom obtained a Master of Business Administration focused in Finance from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Wayne State University in Detroit.
Bob Zalupski joined TriMas in 2002 and has more than 30 years of business and financial management experience. Prior to being named chief financial officer in 2015, Bob was vice president, finance, corporate development and treasurer for TriMas, where he managed the company's acquisitions and divestitures process and as treasurer was responsible for TriMas’ global cash management and capital structuring activities. From 1996 to 2002, he was a partner at Arthur Andersen, providing audit, business consulting and risk management services to clients in the manufacturing and automotive supplier industries.
Bob holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Michigan and is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Internal Auditor.
Sherry Lauderback joined TriMas Corporation in 2007. She leads the development and execution of strategic communications with the analysts, institutional and individual investors, and the financial media while coordinating company-wide employee communication processes. Sherry brings with her 20 years of leadership experience within the investor relations, communications and finance areas. Previously, she was the director of Investor Relations and Communications at Valassis Communications, Inc. Prior to Valassis, she held leadership positions of increasing responsibility within Compuware Corporation.
Sherry possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Michigan.
Joshua Sherbin joined TriMas in 2005 and has overall responsibility for the strategic direction and coordination of TriMas legal activities worldwide. Josh has more than 25 years of experience in law firm and corporate legal environments. From 1998 to 2005, he was the North American corporate counsel and corporate secretary for Valeo, a diversified international automotive supplier headquartered in Europe. Prior to joining Valeo, Josh was senior counsel and assistant corporate secretary for Kelly Services. He started his career in the business and corporate practice at the law firm of Butzel Long.
Josh holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kalamazoo College and a Juris Doctor degree from Wayne State University.
Chuck Manz joined Norris Cylinder in 2010 and became president in 2015. As president, he is responsible for the strategic leadership of Norris Cylinder. Chuck’s primary responsibilities include the overall general management of the business, including strategic growth, profit and loss reporting, sales and marketing, operations, and human resources. Prior to his role as president, Chuck was most recently the vice president of operations at Norris. Prior to Norris, he spent 12 years at Danfoss Drives, the last seven as president. Chuck has more than 25 years of increasing responsibilities across multiple functional areas including operations, sales, finance, controllership, information technology and human resources. Chuck received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lakeland College in Wisconsin.
David Pritchett joined Rieke in 1996, and was appointed president in 2014. Prior to becoming president, he was appointed executive vice president in 2013. Before becoming executive vice president, David held various positions at Rieke, including vice president of the Dispensing group, vice president of Corporate Development and vice president of Product/Business Development. Prior to joining Rieke, he spent seven years at TI Group and two years at Rolls Royce Aerospace.
David is a mechanical and aeronautical engineer and holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Derby in the United Kingdom.
Marc Roberts joined TriMas as president in 2016 with nearly 25 years of experience in manufacturing, business development, supply chain and lean initiatives. Prior to his role as president, he served as vice president of operations and supply chain at Silgan Plastics with responsibility for leading the operational strategy and providing leadership for 20 manufacturing sites, strategic planning, supply chain, operational excellence, human resources, and environmental health and safety. Prior to that, Marc held the senior vice president of operations and supply chain at Spartech Corporation where he was responsible for the leadership of more than 30 manufacturing sites, supply chain, operational excellence, project management, and environmental health and safety. In addition, Marc served in various global leadership, sales and operational roles at Precision Castparts Corporation and Johnson Controls, Inc.
Marc received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell University in New York.
John Schaefer joined TriMas in 2016 as the president of our Aerospace segment with industry experience in business development, manufacturing, lean and continuous improvement, and supply chain management, as well as having served in various aviation units in the U.S. Marine Corps. Prior to TriMas, John served as president of TransDigm’s Adams Rite Aerospace division, an aerospace product designer and manufacturer, with leadership responsibility for sales, engineering, multiple manufacturing site operations, acquisition integration, supply chain, operational excellence, human resources and finance. Prior to that, he held the position of director of operations at TransDigm’s Adams Rite Aerospace, as well as operational and supply chain leadership roles at Meggitt PLC, a manufacturer for the aerospace, energy and medical device markets. In addition, John served in various leadership, sales and operational roles at Siemens AG, Conexant Systems and Black & Decker. Additionally, John retired as a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps after 22 years of service, both on active duty and in the reserves, where among other duties, he led various aerospace supply chain and MRO activities globally.
John received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Florida, as well as a Master of Business Administration degree from Pepperdine University.
Len Turner has served as president of Arrow Engine Company since 2000. Before this role, Len served as vice president and chief financial officer and controller for Arrow. For 13 years, he led the finance function. Additionally, from 1984 to 1987, Len worked as a controller for Latoka Engineering Company in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Len holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance/Tax from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas.
